THOMPSON DIARIES PART IV
May 22, 2008

Thompson just sent us some more updates on his travels:
"So, the axle nut came loose on the van! no problem, just needed some tightening. then the gas pedal somehow got bent to where it wouldnt work, so i rigged it with a shoelace, and it works better than it ever did! no worries. i did the bay to breakers run for the first time too which was alot of fun. its a 7 mile stretch and i hear is known as the the biggest street party in the us! the record breaking temperatures luckily dropped a little for that day. i also had a sweet day at the beach and eventually headed back up north to eugene, problem free, where i am now. headin to orcas island this weekend! everyone should go! i guess anti hero and girl are gonna be there! should be a blast to watch. thanks for everything, everyone!"

ROAD WARRIOR
May 1, 2008

Thompson always looks this good, we promise.

So these pics are of my whip, a 1970 volkswagon bus, and the sunset where i
started this adventure, up in bellingham. the sunset matches the im shirt i
was wearing! there is one picture of the inside of the bus the first night.
all cozy like, since it was pooring down rain in ballard while i stayed at
the think thank compound. then one pic of the sunny morning before my last
day of filming up at snoqualmie. slept one more night at the compound and
then headed to portland, via imperial motion to store my winter gear while i
travel to cali. picked up some goods, ate lunch and hit the road for a
portland weekend.
